Social Media Manager

Work Type: Remote Unpaid Volunteer Opportunity


  • Passionate about helping survivors of human trafficking.

  • Be 18+ years old.

  • 1+ year(s) or more experience managing and creating social media content. Non-profit  content (Preferred).

  • Light research skills.

  • Communication and organization.

  • Strong writing skills (grammar, spelling, source citing, etc.).

  • Ability to work within deadlines.

  • Access to internet.

  • Proficiency in many social media platforms

  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Must provide samples of previous work.


  • Coordinate social media

  • Some content creation (TBD)

  • Create a content strategy

    • types of posts

    • number of posts or articles /week

    • which days/times

    • how to integrate blog posts as social posts

    • integrating keywords (TBD)

  • Create a strategy to increase subscribes/followers

  • Check and ensure all content has a source and is cited

  • Creating, scheduling, and sending preapproved posts each week

    • batch approvals ok

  • Any (preapproved) interactions with other social media accounts
