Outreach Coordinator

Qualifications:

Passionate about helping survivors of human trafficking and making a positive impact in another’s life

College/ University Degree
-
Be able to devote a minimum of five hours a week

Strong verbal and written communication and documenting skills

Must be well-organized, capable of work independently and collectively, while maintaining a flexible schedule

Must be knowledgeable in working with diverse communities, particularly Latinx, people of color, and low-income populations and deliver culturally competent services
-
Must have the ability to operate office equipment such as computers, copy machine, fax machine, phone systems, etc. with strong internet and software skills; incl. Microsoft Office

Must be able to exercise good judgment, compassion, and sensitivity at all times to provide trauma informed care
Responsibilities:
-
Coordinate and facilitate outreach efforts on behalf of BECAUSE Organization, such as, community events and presentations.

Ability to work remotely

Assist with establishment and management of outreach partnerships with organizations focused on supporting adult human trafficking victims.

Develop ideas for additional BECAUSE Organization resources and outreach efforts based on experiences and feedback from outreach partners and past events.

Assists in updating and cataloging resources for various other programs and related initiatives.

Maintains and constantly seeks to improve quality of BECAUSE Organization Outreach efforts through personalized attention, clear and open communication, and flexibility.

Attend and participate in regularly scheduled bi-weekly check-in meetings.

Seek opportunities to promote BECAUSE Organization and create community impact at relevant conferences and events.

Responsible for growing collaborative partnerships and alliances with community organizations and key stakeholders to increase our community presence and community benefit work.

Identify new community partners.

Promote BECAUSE Organization programs, resources and research opportunities externally.

Develop and maintain community partnership that promote diversity, equity and inclusion for BECAUSE Organization residents and survivors in general.
